Yoda, you probably have but just double check your chain. a while back i thought my gearbox was stuffed. was the chain, couldnt believe it. went from perfect to clunky in a matter of no time. new chain, just sweet. when old chain inspected, two tight spots, couldmt even find them with chain still on bike. i blame chain lube, they were dry. now use gear oil, as manual says . sometimes the simplest things. i was like you, ready to strip bike down. since using gear oil, chain has never sounded as nice before. vmx castrol, it doesnt stink.

Thanks grog. Working my way through it chain looks good but I am going to refit my exhaust there isn't a lot of room between the chain and link pipe. I contacted Seth he suggested that the clicking noise was overtightening  of the rear caliper brace. Spot on I eased it off and the crack noise has stopped.
Paranoia now subsiding
Cheers Yoda

glad it was a simple fix buddy
if all was working fine before then can only ever be a check and re-adjusting of things to sort out.
as ever always happy to help .😎
