Whine in 1st gear

Hi guys

I notice a whine in 1st gear ans as this is my first K2 just wondered if this was normal or am I looking at a strip down which I really don't want to do this time of year.

Nah, they all do that. Straight cut gear I think is the cause. Big clunk going into 1st too, yep, normal & no issue.

Try and find another 14 to listen too.

Mine has a very noticeable whine in 3rd gear.
Much worse than it should have.
It's been like it a while, I just don't abuse 3rd or take the 14 to the drags.
Might fix it one day.

Same here, K2 with a noisy 1st.

My K2 is fairly noisy in 1st too

mine a k7, same story. never changed, it does whine. never worried about it. was gonna ask same question, is it normal, long time ago. just keep riding.

K7......not quiet in bottom gear either. Drain plug magnet is always clean so I never worry.

Noisy 1st in my K2. Old Suzuki without mechanical noise is broken.

Same on k4.
Quite normal.
Not a problem.
