Quote from: Tony Nitrous on Monday, 06 July  2026, 01:01 PMI wanted a cheap multimeter just for the house. Always seem to have battery's that are either old, been used, are questionable etc.

Mrs has been on my case about taking stuff to the dump, especially the 10c return bottles and cans. She has quite a stock pile going back a while and I no longer dump them.

She opened an account at the recycling returns depo for me.

On the way to fetch a multimeter I tipped a heap into the machine at the depo... they put $55.60 into my account!
(Didn't look like 556 containers but it was a heap in the Ute so I guess it may be)

Free breakfast and a free multimeter!

(I know it's not really "free" but I'm trying not to think about how many I've taken to the dump over several years!)

My wife wants to save the planet, I like to save $50, either way we both get a result.

We don't have dustbins here anyway,  so rather than tip them out on the way into town, I've been tipping them out at the dump for the last 4 years and getting nothing.

which multimeter did you get?

Just a cheap no name one. It's only for testing disposable batteries around the house. Saves me unlocking the shed and tool box's at night.

Bike insurance paid.    $2,026.
Agreed valuation on the Gen-3 Busa, Gen-2 Busa, B-King and DRZ. All mods and accessories listed.

Mrs has put all my tools, roll cabs and workshop stuff on the house policy that she pays. Fortunately they didn't want stuff listed just a general description and an agreed maximum value.

A tank of fuel for the 14 and a full English for the rider.  :clapping:

Another successful test ride completed, she is back, to her best again.  :smitten:

Michelin Pilot Road 6 in GT spec for the Bavarian Mistress. F120/70ZR17 and R180/55ZR17.  Get fitted Wednesday when I drop the wheels off to my tyre place.

Oh, and 2 solar powered WiFi cameras to beef up the home security.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

KiwiCol

Love that solar powered gear.
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

Had to MOT the XSR900.

The horn had seized, so fitted an Oxford. Much louder.  :onya:  :clapping:

I've used one for years - won't ride without it! :hat:
I need to go somewhere I've not been but won't know until I get there!

Been suffering with the hips too, so bought and fitted an oxford air seat, hoping that rising the seat an inch might help.

cheaper than getting seat done but if it does the trick, will probably, invest in a more, permanent refit of the seat, at a later date.  :onya:

A few stretching exercises might help as well, Mate.

thats what im thinking. Luckily no cramps etc. Just discomfort on a longer ride. If this works, a more permanent solution may be needed. Luckily the same size AH for both bikes, so can swap between  them as needed.

I'm keeping my eye out for spare seats.
I have a bike (DRZ) I'd like to do more comfortable, another (Gen-2 Busa) I'd like redone drag style so the rider sits lower and forward. I also know couple of guys here who bolt small top box's to spare pillion seats, they can swap the seat to box in seconds with the key and the weight sits further forward.

Doesn't look pretty but it takes seconds to swap over and no ugly racks or frames.

For local to South East Queensland members my go to seat guy is John Moorhouse he's called Ergo Seats, I'm sure he's on Farcebook.
He's currently relocating from Jimboomba to Glen Eagle.
Like a good mechanic, seats is all he's done for 30+ years his work is without peer.
