Strange with Dri Rider being an issue, always found them pretty consistent with sizing for my gear.

I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

I took a photo of my old 2xl gloves next to some new 3xl or was it 4xl?  sent it to the place that sold me the new gloves, one look n full refund, they hadn't realised Dri Rider had changed their sizing - prob to Asian sizes . . .

We've had quite the extended summer so I recently thought I'll air out my winter jacket.
Upon locating it in the cupboard I tried it on  much to my chagrin it had shrunk in the cupboard.
I've managed to finagle another one that fits a lot better and is designed for much colder weather conditions than we have. I wore it Saturday and I have to say I was sweating even in the coldest spots.

I personally think it's a conspiracy to do with the alleged hole in the ozone layer & a government coverup of Ailens as to why our apparel is shrinking once put in the cupboard.  :whistling:  :rofl2:

More G&T, don't spare the lemons . . .

It's unusually hot here in the afternoons so I took a gentle ride out to Cheddar gorge and round to Wells before heading home for lunch, it was 28 degrees on my hoto-meter when I got home.  Might do more morning rides as the roads were clear with virtually no traffic, lovely.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

Rode out to breakfast at the long itch diner, long itchingdon ,ltd menu as it was bank holiday Monday so I settled for a bacon ,sausage, egg baguette, very enjoyable indeed. Rode back via A429 stopped off at revs on the fosse for a 7up. Came home via moreton in marsh , chipping Norton , Oxford, home to Thame, stopped off at my local the nags head for a black currant cordial and soda water my phone was telling me the temp was 35'c, yes it was bloody hot today. Even now at 19.50GMT Monday 25 May temp says 30.c  oh yeah 130 mile round trip.

Mr Gee

I was supposed, to be going over to my mates for a few days.  :smitten:

However, his son phoned me late last night, to say that he'd had a heart attack and was in hospital.

I've known him, longer than anyone else alive. Since we were in nappies together, 66 years ago but couldn't visit him, family only.

Oh well, being moved to another hospital for tests. So maybe I w'll be able to see him there.  :whatever:

I hope you get to see him soon Mr Gee, and he is OK.

I was out the house at 7:15am to head for Whitby with the usual black 14 company, we had a rather good day & what with pub stops for rehydration (needed for safety) and so forth I got home about 11:30pm.

Friday I went around the Peak District on the HD, missed the place I was heading for as I wasn't paying attention but bumped into some mates & went to a bike night & then Matlock Bath with them.

Saturday was the local MAG rideout, again on the HD & we ended up in Hebden Bridge after a run over Saddleworth Moor etc.

Quote from: Tony Nitrous on Monday, 25 May  2026, 10:05 AMAbout a week from the start of Winter here.

A low of 14 C, a high of 20 C here today.

Have seen a few light showers that have been welcome.

It must be cold, I put the liner back in my jacket.

Those lows would be welcome, but not your highs.

A while back I was sat in the shade outside the pub having lunch.  The hour ride there in boots, jeans, gloves, leather jacket, full face etc OK, but just about my comfort limit. I've ridden on hotter days but didn't find it enjoyable.

This was lunch at the pub, 38 C.

This was a while back, I was working outdoors all day.

I can normally handle the heat, I've worked in it for 20+ years, only once had heat stroke due to my own stupidity.
Absolutely hate the cold, I struggle in single digit temps more than high 30's. If it drops below 10 C I'm lighting the log burner.
