Cool dull damp morning after another 6mm of rain last night.
Only 82K's / 51 miles but mostly off road and dirt that starts at the end of my road.
Got into one place I'd been warned about, well out of my depth! Managed to find another way out.

Had family who lived on Clee Hill. One worked at Clee Hill Plant Hire for many years. We used to take dirt bikes up there and play in the quarry on the Ludlow side.

It was a standing joke amongst locals that folk visited Clee Hill, fell in love with the place and moved there. The locals used to take bets on how long they stayed..

 1 winter? 2 winters? 3 winters ?   :happy1:

Yes, stunning views but I can imagine it's a bit bleak in February.

Given our locations I suppose there's every chance our paths will cross.

See you on the road one day...

Pete.

11/05/2026 Bridgnorth

The GTR was extracted from the garage with the intention of a run to a site just beyond Shrewsbury. Unfortunately, the main road was closed just beyond Bridgnorth and as there was no viable diversion I ended up back in Bridgnorth on a seriously curtailed ride. Still, at least I'd got out, found a coffee and managed to take a few snaps.

I was showing my wife around the UK. We'd already done Warwick Castle and Harlech Castle. We caught the steam train from Bewdley to Bridgenorth, I said, you've seen some castles... wait until you see Bridgenorth's Castle ......

I'm not sure it was what she expected...  :happy1:

The leaning tower of Bridgnorth.

Greater angle than the one in Pisa but nobody ever, mentions it.
