Quote from: MickyJB on Wednesday, 06 May  2026, 09:21 PMA ride to Collie on my ZZR1200 Sunday to watch my son race. Pleased to say 3 races & 3 wins .. one was equal to his pb time on a unsorted bike - ninja 600

All the ingredients for a great day out.

There's always room in the world for a bit more tolerance and kindness.

Nowhere, but my Daughter rode her way to a test pass today.
This is her, with Certificate, on her new, to her, Suzuki SV650   :smitten: Well Proud.

Hooli

SV650s are quite fun, she'll enjoy that.

Dwain Dibley

yeah, she was having the VFR800 that's in their shed, but it was a bit too heavy, so the SV fit the bill. The VFR and her Suzuki 125 being chopped in to pay for it.

My partner really rated her SV650, sold it to a mate who still loves it. She's on a Street Triple 765cc now (low ride height) and absolutely loves it.
Aka Chris Leam on the original Org.

I've had a few SV650's. Both carb tube frame and injected box frame models.

They are one of the few bikes I find that really do fit the role of being easy for newbies to ride and fun for experienced riders.

We had an early model that had over 100,000K's on it and was still sweet. Ex-Mrs used it as her first road bike, but it'd still do 1,100k weekend rides up the coast and back sitting with bigger bikes on the highway.

I'm not that keen on riding weekends, much prefer weekdays, but I wanted to give it a test ride. Managed to do a rural loop with no real highways and very little traffic, got another couple of hours in.

A sad one Boys, I rode the 14 to the Mary Stevens Hospice, because My mother passed Away peacefully today at 13.20. (GMT)

I just happened to just be about to do a bit of work on it and got the call.

She had spent a week there and the staff were Brilliant, Nurses, Doctors and Volunteers.

Weirdly, My Brothers car briefly lost all it's electrics, the bike's battery went flat, and My sisters TV blew up, all within the next hour or so.
