So, now its been a couple of weeks and i have calmed down enough, i can share my experience...

So when i told the wife about the agreed date for the meet there were no issues... Until i mentioned it a few days later.. "Oh, you cant go" She says.. Im like WTF?? what do you mean i cant go? "We will be in Devon for my neices wedding on Saturday." Well, what can i say? i was fuming to say the least. Firstly i didnt want to go to this stupid wedding in the first place and secondly i hadnt booked the day of work either so i had to go to work in the morning then make the 4 hour drive down there..
Anyway.... On top af all this its the Thursday before and i am booked in to drop the 14 off at the dyno for a PC fitting, so we take a ride to drop off the bike. As we get there the wife drops her bike.. no injuries but a couple of scratches on the engine guards and a bent lever. All good. "OK no problem, pick it up Saturday afternoon." Saturday?!?! i ask ya.. The wife knows how i feel about the bike so she says nothing (good job too.)

So i have a chat with the wife and we come to an arrangment that makes us all happy. We wont stay the night in devon, we will drive back so i can go to the meet at the motorbike museum.. GREAT! Looking forward to it.

Saturday arrives: I get up at 3am (watch the time line here guys..) I go to work, shite day, fecking heavy as hell but hey. Hoping to get out early but no such luck.. as i am leaving work at 1pm my phone rings "Sorry Jay, we are having issues with your bike its not going to be ready." (whole other story, as i type this i still do not have my bike back.) Now im pissed, this was going to be my one good bit of the day.. Nevermind, shit happens.
So Home i go, get washed and changed and the wife and i head off to Devon..
Lovely evening really only one fight at the reception, the food was amazing too, you remember when you were 8 and you went to your mates party and there were sausages on sticks, cheese and pinapple, little pizzas.. you know.. real ****ing classy!!! NOT! so im having a fecking time.. THEN i deiscover there are no sweets.. i mean who has a reception with no bloody pudding!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, i digress.. Midnight arrives.. Time to leave, should be home for 3:30 - 4am ish.. enough time for a couple of hours sleep anyway.. "Going to pop to the petrol station so we dont have to fill up tomorrow"....... Yep, you guessed it, she put Petrol in my Diesel car.. dumb cow!!! we have only had the car for 6 years so i understand that she wasnt used TO IT BEING DIESEL!! We are about 500 yards from the reception but you can think again if you think i am going back..
Speaking to the breakdown guys on the phone he tells me that its going to be 2am before anyone can get to me. 2am.. my chances of getting to the meet are looking crap. But i soldier on. 2am on the nose the guy turns up, well at least he is punctual... 20 minutes later and £230 quid out of pocket (inc diesel and the petrol she put in) we are on the road... 6am and we arrive home.. i have now been awake for 27 hours, walk in and the place looks like a bomb has gone off. Maybe leaving the kids home alone with the mother in law to looka fter wasnt a good idea.. So i clean up, have a cuppa and sit down its 8am, after 29 hours i can get a nap .. can i bol*ox 30 mins into a nap my phone rings.. at this point im like sod it, im getting my gear on and heading out.. so i did.

Lovely to see the three of you guys who bothered to turn up, it really was. Nice chat and catch up in the cafe. Cant complain though the weather was forcast to be crap. Just so happened the sun shined down on us the whole time right unil the moment we left.

So thats my tale.. Hope you guys all had a good easter cuz mine was ****ing shite!

PS sorry for the language..

*EDIT* I havnt proof read any of this so if there are mistakes or bits that dont make sense.. tough crap, deal with it.. Thats how i felt! lmao    :happy1:
So if i do stuff all all day and noone sees me do it.. Am i still a lazy git?

Oh dear, it sounds worse now than hearing it first hand on the day.

You seemed pretty rational at the NMN though, so well done for holding it together.

I know there were not many of us there but none the less it was still good to meet up.

Picture for the album attached.....

Pete.

Yeahhh you have to keep it together in these situations lol.. It was a nice morning to be fair. Good company..

I like how you got my old triumph in there too.. I still kind of regret selling it but hey, all for a good cause...
