Has being running ok normal starting ok

I'm no expert but:

Throttle position sensor?  (though I'm not sure that this would cause issues starting, more just riding, but perhaps..)

When you turn the ignition on are you  getting the normal sounds of the fuel pump priming?

hi mik

yes the pump primes every time so thats ok  but had a good day with it today that holts ignition is really good stuff. after doing the leads to plugs and other elc contentions

she is running very nice . just a little blip..... but the f1 came up did the wire trick and the fault was camshaft sensor ... so i will change this and see were we go with it

Hi Mrg

Just read youre post and this sound a lot like the same symptoms I had - yours are a tad worse

Mine was difficult to start and very lumpy - it also missed when you were riding it - it did turn out to be the Camshaft Position Sensor - The dealer one was extortionate - I ended up getting one from teh states for a jet ski (same part number) for a fraction of the price

easy fix and put out the FI light - Good Luck Fella

Hi del

I've looked around and found that a Suzuki four stroke camshaft sensor is the same as ours and it's £67, but all others are around the £87-90 mark .
So I will send for the first choice  and wait and see  cheer for your info as I said the next day I've coated the spark ⚡️ plugs leads and connections with Holts ignition sealer and that has help a great deal so with that and the sensor I hope to have cracked it  fingers crossed

Hi del

mine runs great with the new one fitted mate - it was really rough and took a few goes to start on occasion - then FI light started to come on and go off - it got so bad it nearly chucked me off - so paperclip out to check error code and ordered one

i found the low pressure filter was clogged up and when i sent injectors to be refurbished 1 filter in them was also slightly blocked .
so mow going through the whole fuel system cleaning it all .
bikes done 53000 miles I'm sure my problems started at a dodgy fuel station in italy .
