Goats? Mongrel things.I got arse butted by one in vegie garden, pulling carrots. Other was my Old Mans Mate came around to show us his brand new car. When they went out, goat was standing on new cars roof, so many dents. Goat got chained from then on. Unfortunately the chain wasnt long enough for him to reach ground when he jumped the fence. Goodbye goat

Hooli

Goats - lamb substitute. At least that's how someone I knew referred to them as they worked really well in casseroles & curries.

I have a "Not a chance in Hell on this property" list.

Goats would be in my top 3 with bamboo and palms.

Can't stand the things.

3 of the neighbours have cattle. If I don't end up buying a couple off them I'll fence off any young trees with a hot wire and let them run them on the back and front paddocks.

How do you tell if a fence is goat proof?
Get two buckets of water, throw one at the fence, throw one over the fence, if any water go's on the other side a goat will too.

How do you find a goat that's escaped?
Go to the neighbour that used to have the best garden.

We had one that stood on a drum of roofing pitch to reach a tree branch, sunk into it and stuck there all afternoon. Was a long job cutting it out.

I hate them.

If they could dig, they'd be uncontainable.

Sporadically, my wife suggests goats (because they're cute when young). I point out the cost of putting two metre high deer fencing around our paddock and the conversation stops  :smile2:

We had two baby goats.....coz they're cute. Had them penned in and there was a grapefruit tree in there pen. I come home frome work one day and there's only the skeleton of a grapefruit tree left.
Bastard things...... Indians have a way of dealing with them  :stir:
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Haven't parted with any money yet, but......

Booked an excavator, bobcat, tip truck, several metres of crusher dust, a heap of 500x500mm x 1m blocks, some agi line etc etc for January.

I predict things getting messy and expensive next year.

1 bacon and egg roll.

2 packets of disposable ear plugs.

20 ltrs of BP98 fuel.

A new crash helmet, it should be here the end of the week.
I have a few gloss black Shoei's and love 'em, but fancied something different and more suitable for the DRZ.
I went for a dirt bike style lid but I wanted one with a visor not goggles, and as it's for low speed, dirt and very little use I wasn't going to be paying a 4-figure Shoei price.

THE LS2 Explorer was a nice fit and ticked all the box's, so I left the black one on the shelf and the store ordered me one the same size that's Hi-Viz fluro yellow.

Got home and realised I didn't buy the tradies rattle can marker paint that was the reason for going into town!
Need to measure and mark out for three retaining walls.

I bought a big stick, some little sticks & a bit of string.

Or as it was described to explain the price, a handmade in England genuine long bow (40lb at 28") & a dozen wooden arrows. I started with an archery club last month & always wanted to try a proper longbow, when looking around at prices I saw this one second hand & a proper bargain so I collected them tonight.

I'm not sure of the exact model of the bow, but I know the make & from the pics on the maker's site it's one of two. Either way it's either £300 or £450 of bow plus £100 of arrows for £150 and in excellent condition, hence I couldn't pass it up.

Now I just need a quiver & a bow rest to look like I know what I'm doing.

Go on, treat yourself...just don't quiver while carrying a hot drink.
