Switch to put input in Suzuki workshop mode and thus see error code.
Until 2003 it is DMS-2 model (4 pin conector) and until 2007 DMS-1 (6 pin conector)
I have not delved into the subject, I put it here as I have discovered it

Some people will make money out of selling anything these days, a simple paper clip will do the same job, granted some will like the idea of a switch but no real need for it as is well documented here in the Org. Bible

Also, remember the codes are only a guide to possible faults and are not stored so they are lost if the bike is turned off.
To be totally honest 90% of these faults are either bad/corroded connections or damaged wires that need to be checked.

oh and a standard one too

I have dealer switches for a few bikes, I like collecting toys and tools. The switches don't do anything special, they are just far nicer to use.  Some bikes have a heap of wires at the plug and can be fiddly for me, setting service clocks or checking faults on the fly. The switches aren't a great investment, but there's a lot worse ways to burn through cash.

Some folk smoke, drink, gamble, buy watches and nice clothes, eat out nice places... me, I buy the crap I like to have around me and use.

Every year I get a Kincrome advent calendar.  I must have a dozen various screwdriver sets including a few Kincrome ones. This years advent calendar is a Kincrome screwdriver set... mine is sat here ready for December. .... LOL.

My Mrs did comment on if I pop off the perch first what about the sheds full of shit she's left with. I've given her a mates details and said give him the shed keys, he's actually another .org member from a while back who still has his 14.

I seem to recall years ago someone who kept having a FI light appear fitted a fault switch so they could flick it while riding. Meaning they could remember the code that'd be lost when they turned the bike off.

Absolutely no idea, I just recalling thinking it was a good plan.

I am one of those. Allways hooked up but turned off. Haven't used it in many years
