Next week im 70 yrs. Thinking of a lighter bike, muscle power now a bit less. Is a SV 650 a good choice?

I bought the 650 thumper and enjoy it, but I'm keeping the 14.

Saw today CFmoto are releasing a 750, looks half decent actually, brembo monobloc brakes single sided swingarm, usd forks.

Not a fan of the areo winglets though.

Mate at the BMW club has the CFmoto 800MT, quite a nice bike
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

z900 RS SE @grog if you are going to change  :onya:

However, don't rush it - I'm 70 and can still manhandle my R1250GS BMW around  :whistling:
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

Greg SV650 similar weight to new parallel twin GSX-8S/R 800. Seat height a bit lower I think also. That motor sounds quite funky too. 🙀

To answer your question grog, yes the SV650 is a good bike but if you are over 6' it might be a bit cramped for you.  My wife had one for 12 years and loved it, I rode it a few times and found it a great little bike but it was a bit small for my 6'3" frame.  It's one of those bikes where you can use most of its performance most of the time.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

I rode a SV650S once, seemed fun but as said they are quite small.
