Quote from: Eric GSX1400K3 on Thursday, 29 May  2025, 06:15 PM4 new injectors as I'm still having issues despite cleaning the whole fuel system.  I suspect injectors are blocked or worn out from having such dirty fuel run through them. A local injector place wanted aud 66 per injector to flow check.  Rockauto.com has them for aud56 each brand new.

I found a set of 4 for under aud40. Will try them, if no good, I'll order the rockauto ones and still be cheaper than getting them checked.  Suzuki oem are aud320 each!! These injectors are pretty common, ipn771 is the designation, cross checks with the oem part number 15710-65D00, used in 4 cylinder outboard and various Mitsubishi and Suzuki car models as well.
weird quoting my own post, but as an update, new injectors arrived today.  Did I mention they were under A$40 for the set of 4?!  They seem decent quality, have the same 4 holes in the bit that matters and the correct connectors etc.  New rubber seals as well.  Happy to give these a go, if they're sh#$%te then the next cheapest option is from the US via rockauto.com.

I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Didn't buy, but went to see someone and get some prices today.

Gen-3 Busa now out of warranty and lots have been modded and products tested and proven.  I always said if I modded the Gen-3 it wouldn't be a bit here, a bit there, it'd be a proven package. Possibly lose 2 or 3hp in the midrange ( hard to notice) and extend the top end with up to 30hp more, but more aggressive across almost all the range. A tried and tested set up.

A full titanium 4-2-1 Akra pipe.
A DNA High Flow air filter.
A pair of Gen-2 / Brocks cams.
A set of BT Moto airbox stacks.
Pre (stock) dyno'd, mods done, restrictions removed and dyno tuned, road tested etc by someone who's highly recommended and has a 2 month wait time.

A ride in ride out price was about the same as a nice tidy GSX1400.  Much as I'd like another 1400, or another 1100 Kat, and much as spending the price of a whole bike on mods doesn't sit right with me, I'm still tempted.

My days of riding or buying stupid stuff are certainly limited and something so ridiculous appeals to me.

I have 3 bikes I like but don't use and wouldn't cry over selling if I need to, to top up funds, although I'd rather not.

I'm currently torn between "what a stupid thing to do" and "it'd be a whole heap of crazy fun"

I'd do it Tony. Unless doing a thing will likely kill, maim or bankrupt me, I'll give it a go. I don't want to die wondering "What if?"
We work hard and long, and not everything we love is (or needs to be) a 'sound' financial investment.
There's always room in the world for a bit more tolerance and kindness.

Today was Wife to hospital visit. Shes ok, outpatients room we waited. After today i got reminded how many people live in hell from injuries. A bloke today, knee op, 3 1/2 yrs later still has infection. While able, just do your dreams. Go for it Tony.

Mick_J

If you can afford to do it I'd say go for it Tony, this is not a rehearsal, you only get one go.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

As I see it you got 2 choices, put calamine lotion on every day for the rest of your life or scratch that itch!  Yeah it could seem crazy and not needed, but there's an itch and the thing about itches is they don't go away, they get more itchy, scratch it! :onya:

Just do it, as my teenage daughters say "YOLO Bru"

I need to focus and decide what I want. My goals and attention wander.

I always intended to replace my Kat I sold in the UK with a better version.

I bought a Gen-2 Busa with the intention of building something more drag focused.

I bought the Gen-3 Busa knowing it had huge potential waiting to be unlocked.

My 14 was rough as guts but showed me how much I needed a better version of one.

I have several other unfinished projects.

I have my finger in too many pies. Really need to pick one and see it through, not leave a trail of ideas and projects.

Washing watching may be next for me. I don't have constant water pressure. It comes from a pump. Turn on a tap, there's a brief moment of hesitation then the pump starts up. This is hardly noticeable with taps, showers, loo's etc, very hard to spot.
However...... my washing machine doesn't like it, it keeps putting up "Error".  Others have had the same issue and say some machines are fussy, some aren't.

Being able to override the pump and run it before the machine asks for water would work, but isn't ideal.
Funny, if I'm having a shower, washing up or flushing the loo the machine works fine. What it doesn't like is the hesitation before the pump kicks in.

Tony, maybe look for old school non electronic machine, not sure if still available .

Kiwifruit

Couple of rocks (lifetime warranty) and Persil  :onya:
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Andre

Build your own "water-tower" for the washer.

KiwiCol

You need a constant pressure tank so you don't get those surges.  Relatively easy fix imo.

We've got a tank with some sort of pressure bladder in it. Had it fitted to stop water hammer. About the same size as a 9kg gas bottle. Works well.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎
