So what chains does everyone recommend nowadays, it's been over 7 years since I last looked at parts for my bike (long story don't ask).
Used to be known as Nomad many years ago when I was the chair in the Suzuki owners club if anyone still remembers me, it's been far too long. Have just built a mancave just for me and the 14 !!!

Takasago RK 530 X series hd 116 link chain and Esjot (SJ)sprockets do it for me.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Hooli

DID X-ring works for me & whatever sprockets Hunters Motorcycles put with it on ebay as they normally seem the cheapest.

I guess it depends on what you're planning to do ride wise and budget Steve.
I'm fortunate to have a mate in the business so I get a lot of stuff to trial and or heavily discounted.
I'm up around 180,000kms in 24 years of ownership I think I've replaced chain and sprockets 4 or 5 times.

Best allrounder I've ever owned 👍

I've uses tubasku (that'll be spelt wrong) they aren't the cheapest (£120 approx)
Also change the sprockets and I use a standard front sprocket (the ones with the rubber silent sprocket) and super sprox back sprocket (both using standard size sprocket)
They could last longer (I replace once I start to need to adjust the chain) but I always change every 18-20k miles before changing and also replace the sprocket carrier bearing at the same time .
only a slightly modified gsx1400
oh and a standard one too

That's what I've been
using and about the same kms but they're worn out now. I'm keen to replace with the same.

It's rude not to use these ladies, it's what they're for.

It'll be 183k miles after the next tank of fuel btw.

Let's hope you get your bike back in good order, to achieve this.

I'll be replacing mine with Regina, as and when.
