I get hip cramps too, I know how you feel grog. I have had cramp issues for years. Got carted off in an ambulance from home one time, I was in quite a state. Ambo told me to take cramp very seriously as your internal organs are doing the same but we don't feel it.
I think buying a Harley would put too much strain on my heart......
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Sold the R1 because of increasing hip cramps. The 14, with risers, is a joy in comparison.
There's always room in the world for a bit more tolerance and kindness.

And so is a R3GT with forward controls, no more hip cramps for me now, thankfully.   But honestly, the forward controls have banished the hip cramps, until I mount the 1400 again.  Sometimes on the GSX I get away without them other times not.
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

Quote from: grog on Friday, 28 February  2025, 05:32 PMOld hips, todays ride constant hip cramps, excruciating. Buy a Harley or bar risers for 14. Hopefully they help.
Have you tried magnesium? I'm a bit cramp prone too but one of these before bed every night seems to help

They hurt so much, standing on pegs, helps sometimes.Ive tried massage, stretches, magnesium, nothing works. Worries me about riding closure.

I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

I've always been a stretcher since the early days of training with weights and martial arts.
I have a particular set of movements that have kept me flexible.
I've never had hip cramps or any kind of cramps to my knowledge.
I take fish oil and chondroitin daily to help with arthritis in fingers and one ankle (multi times fractured) ☠️

Best allrounder I've ever owned 👍

Probably correct Eric but nobody cuts me unless total last resort.

Went to a store in the city, got a quote on a dealer service for the Gen-3 and a quote on fitting a pair of S23's with my favorite 55 rear.

Both things I could do myself, but I like having one bike that I don't have to spanner. Happy to just ride it and let someone else do the maintenance. I'm quite happy tinkering and maintaining most vehicles, my other bikes, tractor, mower, Ute etc,  but the Gen-3 and my Fortuner can be someone else's job.

Same.  Regular trip to hospital last year. Two electrical cardioversion's and one Angiogram that I was knocked out for, changes of pills, treadmill stress tests and several ECG's.

Heart specialist said the next thing we try is Cardiac ablation, a stay in hospital 200k's away, we go in through the groin and feed up to your heart and scar the heart to calm it down.

I never went back.
