We sure tested the wet weather gear that last 50kms into Wellington. Stayed dry. 10 outta 10
Ferry to Picton 1.30pm tomorrow.

How many kilometres had you travelled ? Two up makes quite a difference too.

Our crossing got cancelled because the swell exceeded the limits set for our ferry. We managed to change from the Bluebridge company to the Interislander.
Sailing was at 4pm now postponed until 5pm.
I guess they didn't have enough life jackets and brown paper bags ready ??

Once ya get onboard and get it tied down, straight into the bar n get a few down ya, that way you won't notice the pitching so much & you got the sounds to sober up  before the trip to Kaikoura.  Getting in at 8pm ish you may stay in Picton?  Marlin motel is close to ferries n reasonable.
