Johnon

Bought the bike just over a year ago due to my other bike being off the road and hearing all the other bikers out and about.
I took it in my van to Gran Canaria for the summer,3 months windsurfing and biking.
I slept in the van during the journey and the stench of petrol was overwhelming.I got home in September and put it in the garage.
Last week took tank off to see what was happening.Could, not see anything obvious so decided to clean pump and took the sender off too.The pump is not original with straight return spigot so pipe is kinked but not torn. The sender seal was suspect so renewed it ,pump seal looked good but bought one anyway.Putc.08 mm SS wire around the regulator and put it all back together.
Put 5 liters in and primed it and it fired up 2 Nd click.
Had a leak on downpipe so set about it and had it on side stand.
There it was a tiny droplet on top of rocker cover bolt.Torch under tank and a pin prick.Must have opened it up more from cleaning tank when it was off.So joined this site last week for the info, which helped me out no end, thanks.

Welcome Johnon. I joined the forum recently too, and there's an amazing amount of info on here.
There's always room in the world for a bit more tolerance and kindness.

I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Not yet ,it's a pin prick .I'm getting some metal weld to plug it while I can either find another tank or get this one repaired.

Welcome Mate. My thinking is either another tank or inner tank sealing kit. If you have a pinhole, others wont be far away. Know of lots of success stories with sealer, instructions just need to be followed exactly.Others on here will know more, best uk kits etc.
