Most of the time 14 grunt is more than enough.Way more. Just sometimes id like a few more revs/bhp.Diavel was good at that, Mates 14 with hairdryer(supercharger) just amazing. A 14 with Busa motor, that would tick all boxes except looks. Do we know a better looking motorcycle motor, probably not.

I was supposed to book a test ride on an Indian FTR1200 but I forgot all about it until the dealers messaged me the other day . Would I be interested in this one? I said yes of course but alas no money to pay for it ,not interested in finance deals, never have been ,never will be. I'm gonna pop over there and see if I can arrange a test ride.

Here's a link to the spec's on the FTR, reads very good.  (not as good as a R3GT though . . . :whistling: )  120HP 118nm torque, 6,000rpm but only a 12.9L tank.  That would be a big change form the 23L we get in the 1400.

I'm going to suggest on a twisty road the GSX would be better and on highway run GT might be slightly better.

Can of worms now opened. 😂😂😂

It would all depend on the rider Chris, me on the R3Gt & Irish Jeff on his RD250 (or anything really) & Jeff would win.  Same rider on each machine over the same course, that's a different story.
The R3GT isn't a sports bike & was never meant as competition for a sports bike, but it can sure shift with the right rider. Not saying I'm that rider, far from it, but I'm enjoying my rides & enjoying getting to know & use more of it's 'personality'. Remember mine is unrestricted & can use 100% throttle, std ya get 65-67% throttle when twist grip is at 100% open. Mine also has the 'Penner tune' with improved AF tables & quicker throttle response.

The GSX definitely tips in quicker & is more flickable, but, the extra horses & massive torque are an advantage, as are the Brembo ABS brakes.  The R3Gt is no slouch through twisties, it's not a Harley, it can lean impressively TBH.

As to which bike would win over a set course? IMO it would really depend on the actual course, if the R3GT could use it's additional power, it'd leave the 14 for dust, if it's very twisty & tight, IMO the 14 would probably take the chequered flag on that one.

Main thing is for us to enjoy our variety of machines & ride 'em as often as we can, before we get too old / crook to do so.  :onya:               (worms safely back in the can . . . )

what about B-King motor in a GSX1400 frame, then tune the B-King to Hayabusa specs?  most of the 'tidying up' has already been done to make the B-King look reasonable as a naked.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

I do like them, I might try one one day. I suspect I'd end up with it if possible though so avoiding doing so as I'm idea rich & cash poor.

B-King motor is a Gen-2 motor with a few bits painted black. The appeal of the B-King is, unlike almost every other Japanese big naked is not a detuned or soft tuned engine, all the differences are external, airbox, ECU, exhaust, so using one as a donor engine is pretty much same-same other than black paint on the barrels etc. I do agree the finish on the engine is a bit better to be seen than hidden behind a fairing Busa version.

Didn't want to hurt your feelings but after hurting my eyes you get an honest reply. Looks not like a motorcycle engine at all. Looks more like an electric bike motor with fake exhaust pipes.
