The older I get the more I appreciate the ol' flora and fauna.

I think when I was a working man, half of the year I was leaving home in the dark and not getting back home with any daylight left either. Now being retired I love to get out on the bike or in the car exploring what is around me, or even just sitting in the conservatory watching the birds in the garden.

We don't have a lot of exotic stuff in the UK but here's a snap of a Mandarin Duck that I took when I was in Devon for the New Year. Technically a non-native or "invasive" species and they are not supposed to be released into the wild, but they brighten up a lake a bit.
