G'day Steve and welcome to the nuthouse 😎
That is a very nice example of the fastest GSX1400's.
More info may be sought as regards mileage etc.
I notice Handlebar mod
Beowulf mufflers
Hugger
I'm curious as to the bikes value.

Welcome mate, Nice ride.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Hi Chris apart from a comfort seat that's about it everything else looks original, its got 20K on the clock and cost me 5K which i thought was a good deal as i looked at a lot in bad condition going for 6K plus.

Just noticed today a small bit of paint flake on engine casing which pretty sure is a easy fix. Think someone has probably done a bad job might be idea to remove them and get powder coated.

New to all this so have loads of questions, been looking at Delboy on Utube for maintenance etc.

Thanks all for welcome

Eric GSX1400K3

Do yourself a favour and download the workshop manual on here and delete the link to Delboy. He's a bit of a cowboy. There is much more sense on here.  These are easy bikes to work on, but there's a few nuances.

Oh, and your handlebars and risers, rear hugger, front hugger, bar ends, paint on rear grab rail, and exhaust can aren't standard either.

I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Welcome Steve, enjoy your new bike.
There's always room in the world for a bit more tolerance and kindness.

Yeah that's not original, they should be silver. The lacquer would have died by now so they looked manky though. If you take them off (assuming the stator cover is black too) you'll be spending about £40 on gaskets as there doesn't seem to be any aftermarket ones I've ever found.

Thanks for that its what i suspected, will take it all off when i do a service next year and get it all done properly

Steve, far from stock but that is no concern.Set it up to you.Youre choice on motor covers, maybe learn how to polish, not too hard and i find it a great achievement when done.
