Today was super hot Sun, 35 degrees, then clouds, lightning. Now just a cool 20 degrees C.

Show off!

4c here this morning when I rode to work thinking it's a little cool for summer gloves. It is sunny with clear skies though & now a heady 8c.

I have found chinese fake V-strom 1000 handguards for £22 on ebay so got some on order. The genuine ones are too expensive to bother with, but for £20 these are worth a try as I know the real ones fit 14s.

Today I spotted a vintage Mustang on my way to work. Love those unexpected car sightings.

I've been struggling to find the fittings for these. Spoke to a dealer and they didn't know as they don't list the fitting kit separately.

I can sort the barend bit but I need the lever pivot bolts and gubbins.
I don't suppose anyone knows part numbers? I'm going to have another look at exploded diagrams over the weekend to try and work it out.

Typical, as soon as I ask I think I've found them.

Found an eBay listing with stupid postage so putting the number here so I can find it again tomorrow.

USD $25 for 1 bolt!!  :furious:  :whatever:   Yeah, Nah.  Think I'd be constructing me own - long bolt with a sleeve. :onya:
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

Sparra, agree. I watch out for classics. My far away best spot was a 1963 GTO Ferrari, only 36 made. Worth a fortune. Spoke to its owner and has all the paperwork from Ferrari. Only one in Oz he said.

Difficult without a lathe as it's the lever pivot bolt.

Wasn't actually today but was the first 1400 I saw in during my trip to Australia. He had just bought it and drove it from Perth to Port Douglas without any issues. Next thing he wanted to change was to make a top sleeper out of the sidecar because he hated putting up the tent every time.

5000 th ks on a bloody sidecar quite a trip. Im not a fan of them. Just me.

Farkin' doom and gloom here today !

My favourite neighbour who I keep an eye on and try and help out had a brain tumour, had it cut out, then chemo. Was doing OK but has a virus or flu that's seriously hit him.

Other new neighbour the other side has just said "See you in 3 weeks" and headed up North as her Dad just passed away from cancer.

Mum just told me my uncle in the UK (90) was out in his back yard and had a fall, lay there in the bad weather and passed away.

Talking to Mum about him she asked if I knew another uncle had found out he had cancer way to late and they weren't even going to waste time on treatment.

I was more concerned about my own elderly parents back in the UK. This year Dad had a pacemaker fitted and Mum finisher her Chemo, but I swear the pair of them are determined to out live me !

I guess sometimes it's no bad thing to get a reminder that we all have limited time here.

Chin up Tony.  Carpe Diem
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Older we get always seems to be something. Ive given up on New Year being a good one, hasnt happened for a long time. Just gotta learn to enjoy the good things, i always think ive got it pretty damn good compared to lots and lots, wars, starving etc etc.
