Did loads of euro tours in it, including Croatia. Only reason I went back to a proper lid was I'd bought one for the Sprint GT I got & it was stupid not to use a £400 lid.

163 :)

Always fancied one for the 3 days a year it's warm

That's all it'd do! except one day under the overpass outside the Toyota factory nr Derby. It hit 163 in 5th & pulled to the bottom right of the Odometer that day, so about 175 on the clock. No idea why as it's never done it again.  I did get home to Burton from the Centre of Derby in 11 mins though...

I ride a bit slower these days though, can't remember when I last saw past 140 and rarely clear 100 by much anymore.

I used open face for most of my life.  Got a flip up about 4 years ago, excellent helmet.Best of both worlds.

I thought about a flip up lid but like most things here in the uk technically you can't ride with the lid flipped up, another reason to hassle you. 🤔

Andre

There are some that are legal, at least here (EU), to ride up or down.
Have to be certified according to ECE Homologation type: P/J
P stands for full (integral),
J for Jet.

You find the designation on the chin strap.

KiwiCol

My Nolan 100-5 is one that is certified P/J
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

Hooli

Aye a few are certified. Generally easy to spot as the chin guard slides round around to the back to make a smooth shape in case of a crash.

Ah well I stand corrected  ,when I spoke to the shop they said err no as not tested in the flipped configuration. Clearly not the ones they stocked maybe.

100-5 looks/reads good Col. On sale around $400. Im not caring about legal to ride with chin up, if i get booked for that, bloody petty. My LS2 due to replace, great hat, a bit noisy but i wear ear plugs.I spent $800 on Shoei, buy the best was told, hated it, noisy, no side vision, gave to a relative. Next will be Nolan, Shark Evo or LS2.

Removing fuel hose from tank last week, realised id lost my pliers for JIS connector. Mongrel job without them.As a not that often job, bought off Temu, took the chance for $6 including postage not the $50 from the local tool shop. Anyway, look ok to me, will do the job.

Hooli

There's a tool for that? I've got so used to doing it with my fingers I've never thought to see if one existed.

Me too I've never had a problem removing the h/p hose ever 😅

oh and a standard one too

I disconnected the fuel line from the fuel rail ,it's easier, remove tank and then disconnect from tank, saves a lot of faffing about , and no ! I didn't know there was a tool for it as well.

Bought a 100W soldering iron, my old 30W was not up to the task, and I have some wiring mods to do on several cars.

I think this one will do nicely

I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Pinlock for the simpson and some oxford earplugs as the venom has the aerodynamics of a brick and gets a tad noisy. Never used ear plugs before  :whatever:
