Some witless knuckle fucker knocked me off my 14 yesterday.  Luckily We were only doing about 20-25 mph when this tosser turned left right in front of me giving me no chance to avoid him, then he had the cheek to blame me for being there.  On the up side A witness came forward and had a go at him for hitting me and gave me all her details so I've got him by the short and curlies. After refusing to give me his details he just drove off but I got plenty of pictures of him and his van.
Bike suffered a scuffed alternator cover, duffed up crash bobbin, scuffed sidestand, duffed up my hand guard and broke the clutch lever, snapped the front master cylinder mount (this is why I couldn't risk riding home with her indoors on the back), probably bent the bars but the biggie is my knee took a bit of a biff when it left it's impression in the bloody tank, so I had to catch a train/taxi home.
Insurance is on it and so is a solicitor and the police so I just have to wait now.

Glad you're in not too bad shape Mick, was Mrs Mick ok? could have been worse than you've described.  The bike sounds fairly mangled & expensive to fix, especially when you get into a tank.
The guy will be in real trouble I'd guess for not giving his details & leaving.  Bet he's got no insurance or licence, hence his actions.
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

Such Crap to happen Mate. Hope you can be fixed and your bike also. You have a big job ahead of you,a frogwit , drove away, he thinks hes cool, you have to deal with all the broken pieces, blood boils.  :furious:

Sorry to hear that Mick, hope you and Mrs are OK and that you get things sorted quick and to your satisfaction.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Sounds rather annoying, that scummer needs an attitude adjustment with solid objects till he finds the error of his ways.

That's a bummer Mick but glad you are both ok  :)

Glad you are both OK Mate.
This happens to me a lot on my pushbike, idiots overtake just before a junction and turn left 3 yards in front of me but don't take my speed into account. The new highway code has addressed this point, but the idiots prevail.
It's called left hooking.

Sorry to hear about your accident, sucks that you had that happen to you, but glad to hear you are both OK. Hope that your knee heals well and quickly and that everything goes smoothly getting your 14 back on the road.

Thanks lads, we are both doing well, the swelling on my knee is already going down and the bruising is not too bad.  We both have a few minor aches and that's it.  Our gear performed perfectly with only some minor scuffing which will polish out, we both hit our heads on the pavement and although there is no noticeable marks I'm adding two crash helmets to his bill.
As for the bike I've had a look at the cost of the parts and that comes to about £2,500 and they all seem to be available so I should get the bike back fixed.  Just have to wait for the process to slowly dribble along.

Fuckin hell, glad youre both ok. I wouldnt even give a second thought about the helmets, it would have been straight down on my list. So glad the kit did their jobs.

Sorry to hear this, glad you are both OK & the idiot gets what he deserves. I hope the insurers agree to repair the bike, the parts don't seem bad but the bloody repairer will no doubt try and shaft the insurance Co on labor charges, storage etc London rates apply to all insurance claims!

Worse case I guess you could buy the bike back off the insurance & repair yourself, although they don't seem keen doing that these days, insurance Co's are keen to write off and settle to get the claim off their books and pass the vehicle straight on to a salvage Co that they are in bed with, I see it quite often in work

Good luck & speedy recovery

Bikes can be replaced it's good to read no serious injuries... Karma Cops & Insurance will sort out the moron.

Just got a call from insurance assessor saying the bike is to be written off as there are no tanks available for this model, or I can have it back with a wad of cash to fix it myself.  Does anyone know of a K7 tank in good condition for sale.

Another twist is the driver who hit me is now claiming I rode into him when I changed lane without looking ,as he hit me 2-3 foot from the kerb, this means I was riding on the pavement, so it might drag on a bit longer.
