Yeah Gentleman, 2 days to my working career is over. Been 52 years since my first job, in this last one 33 1/2 yrs. I work as a Breakdown road patrol, figured out today i have driven 870 th ks around my hometown area. Lots of interesting stories, lots of interesting situations. Today was no different, suicider in his car, i had to unlock for police, will need to re adjust, big chance for more bike miles. Much more golf, maybe a 2 day p/w job. A whole new future.

Hooli

Enjoy the free time Grog.

Not that I envy you or anything but...

It does come around quickly Hooli.Dont wish your days away, just go for whatever, if you cant afford it, borrow or steal, life gets shorter.

Pretty envious of you Mr. Grog, enjoy the time.  Notice I didn't say "free" as you'll be busier than ever I reckon...
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Retirement is not all it's cracked up to be, it's hell trying to decide what to do each day, ride the bike, clean the bike, service the bike, eat, drink, ride the bike, clean the bike, it's bloody relentless.
Enjoy it grog, it don't last forever.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

Over and out, finished  today. Now for a new future.Today was marked very special, hardly ever see a 14 around here, i was driving down a big straight road, roundabout ahead, coming towards bike headlight, he rode thru roundabout at huge speed, straightened up and lifted front wheel. It was a K7 exact same as mine. Im no religious believer etc, but WTF. Totally made my end of career day

Was a glimpse into the future mate, congrats on your retirement. Enjoy.

Aye, as part of the secret forum rules. You now have to attend the drive home of the next retiree & put on the same display for them.
