Hi Folks,
It seems the top box is not quite to my taste in the wind and at speed, so I was thinking of taking it off and putting the bike back to standard. Since the bike came with the topbox frame I dont have the "bobbins" to go back on the top of the shocks. What are these items called anyway? Anyone got them lying around in their garage and want to sell them to me?

Cheers

Rear shock absorber hook. Part number 62318-42F00. You can find parts diagrams on the Mick Hone Motorcycles website. Hopefully available to order through your closest dealer but if not I've just ordered some with a bunch of other parts from Webike Japan.

mega ZIP another good parts site to keep handy, all diagrams, part numbers in one place. Works for me👍

Hooli

I tend to use Robinsons Foundry for parts diagrams, then try webike Japan for cheaper prices.

They're all the same diagrams, it's just a habit I've got into.

Agree Hooli, all the same to find part number, then the price chase or same part under different banner.

Same for me. I actually bought one part there a couple of years back, as it was way cheaper than anywhere else (even with shipping and import taxes). But usually their prices are way high.

Between us, this forum chatter has delivered some great money friendly options, fuel pumps, in tank filters etc.

CRIKEY! looked at Mick Hone site and see its $27, cool I think to myself as that probably means I can get two for £27 in uk, right? rIgHt!?!?! Wrong! £35 for one
I honestly thought they would be £5-10 each.

Well at least I know what I'm looking for now, now to start looking.

Have a look to see if there is a kawasaki version, they will be cheaper.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

Class, Keiti do some nice bobbins, all diff colours n sizes. Think they are for paddock stand but would be fine on top shock mount. Just need to measure size and get appropriate bolts

Well, after finding the price of two little steel rings and using the bike a little more, I think I can say I'm starting to like the usefulness of a top box :D
Might need to modify the old owners modifications but for now I will leave it on and see.
