What does one do on an egg run ?

This egg run takes donations which are then given to the Children's hospice ,which in this case is in Kinross Fifeshire,Im not sure when theses events started but Im sure someone will give us more info I think originally people gave easter eggs ,anyhow Im sure you will  agree its a very worthy cause.
