Hi all, I'm looking for a dash camera with 4k video quality for my upcoming trip but still don't know which one to choose. Any suggestions. Thank.

First Post? A welcome introducing yourself to everyone (with piccies if you can) would be appreciated

Anyway - to answer your question. If you want a 4K camera which switches on and off with the ignition, then you won't go far wrong with the INNOV K5

I've done a LOT of research on this (not bought one due to $) but I have come to the conclusion that the Innov cameras are the best option. If yo want you can get one of their system with 2 cams (front and rear)

Oh and the same answer irrespective of whether car or bike. They do models great for both.

I'm also happy to recommend the Innovv K5.

It usually fires up and catches everything after 30 seconds or so from when you switch the ignition on. Just stick a fresh 64GB micro SD card in on each morning of your trip and you'll have a complete record.

(In truth it has sometimes failed to fire up; from my last 10 day trip away I lost two segments, but thankfully they were motorway runs that I wasn't fussed about. That said, if any system relies on me remembering to switch it on and off or charge and carry batteries I would probably have missed a whole lot more.

How long of recording do you get on 64Gb mate?

Innovv claim 9 hours for 64GB which I reckon is about right, it's always done me from hotel to hotel on a touring day bearing in mind that with sightseeing and essential comfort breaks you are probably only riding for 9 hours out of 12.The system is shut down and no memory used when the bike's ignition is off.

If you need longer it can take cards of up to 512gb I think which should cover you for a short prison sentence  :P

Mine's only the single (front) camera system. If you go for the K5 (front and rear lenses) it will need twice the memory, that is to say you would only get 4.5 hours riding out of 64gb.

Pete.
