^ I was offered the keys to the new Suzuki 8S to try. I declined as they were on a group ride and I was heading off. I did say I might take it out soon though and they said feel free too.

A 776cc twin isn't really my thing, but it's a rare day Suzuki now builds anything new so I might give it a spin out of interest. Those that have ridden it seem impressed.

It's one of the bikes I've earmarked to try this year.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

I'm quite attracted to the GSXS1000GT. It's about time Suzuki started getting some new ideas out there. I'd really like a full blown tourer similar to my BMW R1200RT. Imagine a GSX1400 motor in a full faired sport/cruiser with all the bells and whistles.  :hat:

I do like the idea of the GSX-S1000GT, but if I ever got serious about buying one I'd have to try and get a back to back with the Kawasaki Ninja 1000 which is very similar but has better luggage etc. Both bikes that interest me.

I've said for a long while there should have been a Busa-GT to go up against the H2 SX SE. Its the only big bore bike that Suzuki have that's Euro-5, and higher bars, taller screen, comfy seat, factory luggage, centre stand, heated grips are all do-able and mostly stuff folk add anyway. A Busa that's closer to the Kawasaki GTR / Concours type bike.

They use the same motor in the new Vstrom which I'd like to try. I have a few road bikes but nothing for the many gravel roads, forest tracks and fire brake trails around here. That's getting good reviews too.

We went to Sticks & Stones Cafe in Woodford today. The winter weather has abated it was 24 deg & clearest of blue skies.

Whilst I remember I'll post a pic of my standard shocks that have been refurbished 3 times.
Last one was full rebuild including rechrome of shafts & every seal etc. by Rads in Brisbane 🥇.
I've had the lifter kit fitted since 2005. Which helped tip in and planted the front end. I also upgraded front springs and heavier weight fork oil as I'm over 100kgs.

Agreed Grog, I think the technical term is "schmicko".
