letter from the Police !!!!!!

Many years ago (Before the dawn of speed cameras) my mate and I were pulled over by "Starsky & Hutch" in their Ford Escort..
I was on a 69 Honda CB750 and my mate on a Suzuki GS750 (New)..
The lead cop says to my mate "whats yer name"?
"Norton" replied my mate..
Cop shout to the other cop whos still in the car "Bill, we have a Norton here on a Suzuki"
He then says to me "and who are you"?
"Speed" I replied (Yes that really is my Surname)..
Cop shout to his mate "Bill we've got a bloody idiot here"..

In the past my Surname has got me of errrr speeding loads of times!

On another incident when a cop upon hearing my name, replied "On your way.... You've got enough problems"!

small update, sounds like some dick in a car with a dashcam    ive asked for evidence and the police said they can't send the video but will send me a pic of the moment i crossed the lines.
BUT !!!  the letter says it all happened near the bottom of the hill, the double white lines end near the TOP of the hill, looking forward to the pic when they email it.

Yeah I was done for leaving the scene of an accident which I never had.  I'd reckon I'd have noticed on a bike colliding with a vehicle and damaging all along it's door!

Police said they had evidence ( I called bullshit) but they refused to show me any evidence saying I'd have to contest it in court if I wanted to see any evidence.  Damn was I pissed off.

I couldn't afford to time off work to do so, so got a black mark against my name and a fine.

Yeah, as I said before, I know folks who've had the same in the UK. Cops encourage dash cam owners to dob in other motorists. No need to real cops, just admin staff handing out fines from an office.

Dear Mr Policeman,

I have spent many years in the United States of America so being on the wrong side of the lines was an honest mistake.  If you fail to take this into account and refuse to waive the citation, I will have Joe Biden declare war on the constabulary, and the proximity of US air bases facilitates a simple and short war (for a change).

You may think this is unrealistic but at this point Joe is so far gone I could convince him to declare war on himself (though perhaps he has already done so).

If you want to dob folk in then you should have your name and address posted up on the screen for all to see. See how keen they are then.   It's actually happened on a group ride here in Qld. Dickhead dragging his caravan up the range (Esk - Hampton Rd if you're a Qld 'er) with his gutless SUV, bikes passed him safely but a couple were over double lines. He handed his dash cam footage in to the cops.

I never overtake on double yellow lines, same as your white lines, quickly escalates to dangerous driving.
