So the clutch master cylinder / line has been bled and now there is very little lever travel between disengaged and fully engaged.
The clutch disengages totally with about 1 cm of lever travel (from lever fully out).
This is painful as it makes slow manoeuvring reliant on use of rear brake rather than in combination with slipping the clutch.
I've also managed to stall it at lights a few times this morning....
What do I need to adjust and how?
the only adjustment is at the lever 5 is the closest from memory
Factory setting is number 2.
Not sure number mine is on, have never moved it. That is only adjust Vlad.
It may have moved to between numbers during vigorous bleeding which being a point instead of a flat moves the lever further away
I've got after market levers - the thing is that before the bleed i had a range of friction zone now its much smaller. Weird.
The clutch master cylinder is the same principle as the brake master cylinder, given that your brake MC was stuck in its bore, theres a chance that your clutch mc is suffering the same fate.

Factory setting is number 2.
The two spanners is not the setting but the difficulty rating for home maintenance. 1 = very easy, 5 = skilled home mechanics only.

That's true but in this case the factory setting is actually (coincidentally) also number 2 on the dial. I posted that pic to show what the manual says about the clutch being non adjustable. I can see the confusion but it's just a coincidence.

I'm assuming your aftermarket levers aren't adjustable? I had Pazzo gold levers on my Daytona 675 that were 8 position adjustable.

Yeah they are adjustable but it only adjusts reach it doesn't make any difference as far as engagement / friction zone is concerned.
Might be worth cleaning and greasing the clutch pushrod, if it has stiction it can cause the clutch to feel funky
Its a strange one Vlad, my friction point on mine so good. Obviously yours was, cant see how it could change, yeah maybe pushrod clean, about all i can think of. Unless, still some air trapped, that could give a weird feel. It really has to be air, thats all youve changed. If some air left in system, would that give uneven feel, im thinking yes. Air doesnt compress same ratio as solid fluid. Just my thoughts. I remember old bloke telling me, if it worked before, doesnt now, what did you change. All you did was bleed fluid.
Could be a sticking slave as well
Original clutch plates?
Or sticking slave cylinder plus air in the system as already suggested.
On doing my clutch fluid change, i noticed it would bleed a lot better if i limited the travel of the slave piston.
Have you tried blocking the piston and re bleed ?
It is a bit more work but i am happy with the outcome

Shops have students / apprentices / reintegrators too. A thinking error may not always be spotted by the master mechanic ;)
True, that's why I prefer to do my own stuff, if possible.
I'm one of the people who always does his own repairs and servicing .
I've seen time and time over that the slave cylinder go sticky on our bikes .
There are other problems that can affect the clutch but I'd always still go for the obvious reasons before going further in to things .
Hopefully this problem gets sorted asap .

Not this one - he's a (very busy) one man band.
