Jeez Barmy.... you might have put this into alphabetical sequence! :stir:
Seriously... you are a star for doing this :clapping:
Wish I read this two days ago - just fitted some Givi bars. I thought Suzuki metal was soft. Givi metal is in another (lower) league. Managed to strip a head on button allen bolts.
Cut a long story short. I had a pair of M8x35 fork pinch bolts. Going spare. Fitted a dream. went on eBay. Yeah - you can guess - ordered wrong size. Bollocks.
Barmy - you are an absolute star...
BB.

was there not a guy on the old site that had a eBay link to all these sizes bolts in metal polish finish
or have I got that wrong :confused1:

Not that I remember mrg - having said that, I know Froudy (and I think Maxx) on the org ordered a set from some bloke on eBay that was supposed to be all bolts for a 14, but was missing half of the right sizes - I know Froudy sorted it for his delivery (and I think Maxx did for his as well), then I think the bloke stopped selling them on eBay as getting the kit right was costing him money. May be worth pm'ing Froudy though to see if he has details.
While you're putting it in alphabetical order Dave you might as well include the torque settings. :mwink:

I did wonder Pete but it wasn't an unreasonable request, so I thought what the heck - and if it makes it more useable then it was worthwhile :)
Actually it was quite fun doing it......!
Can anyone (queue Barmy-Guru) tell me the 4 bolt sizes I need for the Grab Rail please as I cant see them above and I need all 4
Thanks

Lucky man!!! Hope you enjoy your trip home.
Had a fabulous ride home - what a machine - however driving the last 2 hours on motorways in temperatures of 35/36C was bloody hot. Picture below (pretty naff picture actually) was from where I over-nighted on the ride down. Was going to do some when I got hom etoday, but was just too damn hot. Nice touch I didn't know about when I picked it up was that it had new tyres on it and an MRA Touring Screen (as well as the original). Very happy!
That's great Dave, so what bit ya gonna polish first? :whistling: :onya:

@VladTepes File replaced in Downloads section, and graphic in first post in thread updated as well :onya:
I've just read that for the first time.
Interesting you say spring washers in the yoke pinch bolts as no 14 I've ever taken apart has had them there.
It does remind me though, it's about time I changed those bolts again. I don't like to use them more then three or four times as they seem to bend & having had to replace one yoke because a bolt snapped and wouldn't come out I intend to avoid that problem again.

I can't remember now
@Hooli but from memory I think you may be right. I'll check
Hey Barmy you wouldn't happen to know the size and pitch of the disc brake bolts the ones that bolt the disc to the hub?
No spring washers in any of the clamp bolts on any gsx1400 I've ever worked on and I've had 7 and worked on many more .

Recognising that they are a special style bolt, however, assuming you already know that
