Brilliant bike, brilliant photos. 👍Your fuel filter set up is outstanding work.

Great job Northen, especially when you have the right conditions to do it. I like the bike stock, just some minor alterations; but yours looks great ! Now you´ve got a new GSX. In the airline business ? Gotta have knowledge for this job. I´m in the business (too).

Not today, but dropped a tooth on the rear sprocket, to 40T and now the actual speed matches the speedo .......... at last.
What are you running on the front sprocket and what section rear tyre have you got? Mines running 17t front/41t rear and 50 section rear tyre, and my speedo is about 10kmh optimistic...
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

@ Northern, noticed you run what looks like  a quickshifter, how is that working for you?

my quickshifter is part of Dynojet Power Commander system, and it cuts fuel delivery for shifting moment.

it's fun from time to time, when you want to accelerate fast  :)
Works pretty OK on higher revs. If I remember it right, I ajust it to function only if revs are over 4k RPM.
I got it second hand, for quite good price (price of new is totally overrated for what is basically just an ON/OFF switch in matal casing).

Get only for one reasond - I want to run 1/4 mile faster then 11 seconds (for now best time is 11.3)

Outside of drag-strip I use clutch majority of the time, and there is no real benefits of it.

@Jeykey I'm not In the airline business. Far far away from it. As fun as it is, I'm 17 years in casino bussines. 10+ years as teh manager (something like CTO), now we run small online casino, and I'm sysadmin/CTO there :)
wrenching/painting is just a hobby - stress reviler. And as for conditions - there is just stock rooms with work bench at my workplace :)

but thank you for appreciation  :onya:

P.S. now I get, why you think I'm in airline business :)
keychain what my 14 have, is a present from a girl, who was at the time only Estonian female fighter pilot. But Estonia is a small and not rich country, and cant afford fly much, so she quit Airforce, and now pilot Airbuses for WIZZAIR (and ride Moto Guzzi)

keychain what my 14 have,

We always see the keychains. Keep up the good wrenching. Sometimes I get home tired of it.

@northern: Your bike looks stunning and your photos on your build link are superb.

Thanks for sharing  :onya:

Today, while engine was cold, refit signal cover gasket and apply a little bit sealnt there also. Will see tomorrow, if oil leak was terminated.

I was sick and tired of farting around with power for my 5V Sat Nav. So I mounted this as a permanent fixture. Gives 2 x 5V outlets and real time battery voltage.
Even matches the gauge lights
The initial attraction to motorcycling inflicts people for various reasons and at different stages in their lives. But once someone experiences the elation of riding a motorcycle there's no denying the nearly spiritual effect it has.

Steve, perfect description of what it did to mine. Electric comparison so true. Not really wanting to say this, the worm can opens, after pairs i fitted Healtech ATRE, mainly for gear indicator, the advancer set up in it made mine even smoother. Biggest prob is every other bike i ride seems jerky in comparison.
I got a gear indicator before I heard about the advancer, but to be honest it`s pretty bloody good how it is now, when I can be bothered I will pull the baffle back out for a back to back test as a bit of  back pressure can be a good thing, eg. I fitted some loud free flowing mufflers that all the kiddies were raving about on my porsche 993 that I used to own and they made 6th gear unusable at 100 kph, I swapped them back and forth 3 times and had the appropriate chip made by "The Guy" but the reality was the car just didn`t work as well without some back pressure and I ended up selling them off.

OK have done the comparo back to back, same 100k run freeway and city with std Yoshi baffle, shorter, larger bore baffle with holes drilled through the tube from my Ducati   and baffle out altogether and the results are in. The bike definately pulls harder and is smoother with the std yoshi baffle in place at 2500 to 3000 RPM in top gear, no idea if it would be slower on the Mulsane straight and don`t care anyway, but I would guestimate somewhere between 5 and 10 % increase in torque in that area.

My 14 is obviously turning into a demanding old cow.

I changed a tail light bulb yesterday & then the entire rear light refused to work until I'd unplugged it's multiplug & filled it with contact cleaner a few times. It's sorted now, but she must have spoken to a ducati or something to get ideas like that.
