Hi Folks. David here. Can anyone recommend some good throw over panniers? Don't want bars with hard luggage

I think it depends how much you want to spend and also how big you want them.. Oxford do some nice quality bags but they are not huge. I purchased some cheepies from amazon for about 25 quid, didnt expect much but they turned out to be amazing, served me well for a few years until i went to hard.
So if i do stuff all all day and noone sees me do it.. Am i still a lazy git?

oxford lifetime kit is pretty good and can be cheap enough and can expand
i have several sets
also i have a set of belstaff throw overs they are great if a little small (even when expanded)
main things is pack everything in plastic bags as none are waterproof
only a slightly modified gsx1400
oh and a standard one too

I'm using Jofama 52 litre bag

Not  fancy, but pretty good. Was planning to purchase smaller 42 liters, but seller give me a deal (same price for big as for small) and I never regret that.

I've got some Oxford X60's (picked up cheap a year or two back at the NEC bikeshow) and made my own panniers stays just to keep them off the paintwork.

Basically two lengths of 8mm threaded bar with some fuel pipe slipped over the top, bent to fit and then bracketed to a couple of places. Total cost - less than a tenner.
Dead simple and do the trick nicely. I'll upload a couple of pics later in the week.
