you asked the same question a while ago barmy answered that by saying move as much of the loom in the headlight bowl to under the tank and extend wires to headlights from a waterproof bag.
or do you need other advice on mounting the lights ?

Depends on which twins you got - I fitted Dominators to mine.

First up, to remove all of those wires from the old headlight you will need to unplug all connectors and pull them out through one of the two holes - as far as I remember they are all unique so they are fairly easy to re-pair - if in doubt label each one. Not hard, just be patient.

When it comes to fitting the new lights, I personally added three washers between each of the 4 headlight mount screws and the inside of the two brackets (see red arrow in pic) to widen the gap so the brackets would remain straight. I purchased a couple of nylon washers and shorter headlight bolts to then mount the headlight. I simply plugged the H4 fitting directly into the headlight H4 fitting - we don't require the sidelights (two small bullet connectors) to run here so didn't bother plugging them in.

As far as all the excess wiring that once lived in the old large round headlight bowl, I left it in position but put it inside a small black dry-pouch that kayakers or anyone with a boat uses. It is a little tight, but all connectors fit, looks ok and stays dry.

Will take you about half an hour to do if you are prepared.
