Oil Consumption

On my 2012 W166 ML250 I can see right down the oil filler cap to the cams and top of the head, it's like brand new in there, absolutely no buildup at all.  But it does get an oil change, so gotta be something to doing that . . .

Zero oil consumption in mine also, I've never had to top it up ,not once in the 18yrs I've owned her. Regular services are the order of the day.

The only times mine has used oil was down to leaks in either the oil cooler or it's pipework. A very slight leak from the crimped ends below the oil filter near the engine is easy to miss for a while.
