Hi everyone,

New to the gsx 1400 world.

I have a power commander 3 on the bike plugged it into my pc and pulled the map was for end cans only (black widow fitted)

What I'm trying to work out is if the headers and collectors are OEM?

So I have put a magnet to them and it doesn't stick on the collector at all. The headers the magnet has very very slight pull in places, mainly bends.

Any insight would be good.

Here are some pics....

Hi and welcome.
They look like OEM headers and collectors to me.

Assuming your 14 is either a K2, K3 or K4, then I think you may well have a set of Black Widow stainless headers and collector. Bit hard to say on the headers, as they could be OEM, but looking at how they have marked up with use, I'm not completely sure (if your 14 is a K5/6 or 7 then its likely the headers are the OEM stainless headers - On the K2/3/4, OEM headers were chrome, on the K5/6/7, they were stainless). But I'm 99% sure they are Black Widow headers.

As regards the collector - thats def an aftermarket unit made in stainless in the style of the original K2/3/4 collector box - which again was prone to rot. I would say that its a Black Widow collector, however unless they've stopped doing it, the aftermarket collector didn't allow for the side chrome plates being fitted, so I'm not 100% - now it may well be that Black Widow have changed to do it without the side plates being fitted viz https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/144856728199?var=0&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&campid=5338946167&toolid=20006&loc=247545&customid=4581733689551901_710033503_o.b8829e5f54b418660c48f78d82351bb6&msclkid=b8829e5f54b418660c48f78d82351bb6

Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

I should say definitely, after market collector and for a pre K5, because after that it would be a four into one.

If you're fiddling with maps & the like, remember the base mapping is quite different between K2-K4 & K5 onwards. So make sure any map you use is for the right range as the later bikes were a lot leaner as standard.

Also the maps for these aren't on the PC website anymore but I spoke to them recently & got the complete set, they're in the download section on here as a zipped file.

So it's a 2002, I'll take a look at the maps in the download section as I loaded one from the Dyno site which did say it was for a 2002 gsx 1400.
