I read somewhere (could have been here) that some paracetamol and or ibuprofen before you ride can help the hurty bits.
Also being mindful of where you park, just because your bud parks his lightweight dull as dishwater Triumph 660 on an off camber slope etc, you go and find a better spot.....flat etc. I personally don't have an issue with sidecars or trikes, if it keeps you enjoying what you do then that's your business
Thankfully we all like different things, and I like a modded GSX1400

If a sidecar keeps you motorcycling I'm all for it.
My preference for sidecars is to have a race number on them. The likes of Tom and Ben Birchell, the Crowe brothers just amaze me. I love the engineering in them. Not a car not a bike.
I have been to road race meetings and seen a guy slide his arse off his bike and into his wheelchair that he had on the deck of his sidecar, down a small ramp and get around the circuit enjoying the days racing.
Hats off to that man :hat:
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Hello everyone

The conversation has improved significantly in quality, which makes me very happy.

However, I'd like to clarify one thing: I'm not a sidecar purist—absolutely not. Riding a motorcycle is by far the more exciting experience.

The only reason I have this sidecar rig is because it's a GSX 1400. According to my research, it's actually the only one in Switzerland. It's one of the last sidecar rigs built by the Aregger brothers, founders of the company ARMEC. Both of them have passed away, and the company no longer exists.

@GROG, your insight is the key to being able to ride motorcycles for as long as possible. I was born by C-section because I was already sitting on a motorcycle, and from the very beginning it kept throwing me to the ground. That's why fitness has always been my companion—it has spared me from many more serious injuries. I even have my own micro fitness studio in the basement, 15 m² 👍

That was my old bike, a K5.
RIP.
Two hours after this photo, it was already history 😭

My current GSX is gradually being brought back to this condition.

Let's see if I can manage it this year 🤔

Very nice indeed 👍👍
I like the red callipers and black out look, no tank stickers. Looks like rear is much taller too.
Was it stolen ? 🤨

Best allrounder I've ever owned 👍

Looks ok Mate. Black, then more black, as they say, it's not a colour. Yeah, nice bike.

Nasty

@GSXKING

No, it wasn't stolen.
I sent it off the cliffs myself—and followed right after it 🫣

@grog

Let's just say:
Until they invent something darker than black, I'm not switching 🥸

KiwiCol

Red biker would have approved of that colour scheme.  Looked good.
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

Mr Gee

There is something, darker than black.  :onya:

It's called the heart of a politician.  :stir:

Been there myself, 2007 on MtGlorious, lost the front on some gravel causing a high side. 💩💩💩 6 broken ribs, 10 weeks off work and bike damaged on both sides, mostly cosmetic stuff. Back on the road by 12th week 👍🏍🏍

Vanta black is blacker than black. It's the blackest black ever.

I was trying to remember his name!

I think the last time I saw him was when I lead a group on a fun route to some meet along twisty, fun & sometimes wet back roads for hours was somehow worse than motorways so they all abandoned me

KiwiCol

Think I recall that ride, didn't know you lead it though, just Red reporting on it.

I just posted on here I'd picked a nicer route than motorways & they all said they'd follow me. I think by the end there was only Simon? (guy who had a 14 called Sophie? & fixed musical instruments) with me.

KiwiCol

Simon's handle was Speedy cause his last name is Speed.
