Not a clue on the price of S22s but the Avons were £220 the pair, plus £40 for fitting & balancing to loose wheels. Annoyingly there are marks in two places on the rear wheel, I'd complain but what's the point? I don't even know what the colour is to get it repaired. I might talk to a paint place during the winter but they'd want the tyres off to sort it & then I'm risking the same damage again.

Around $500 Aus. 💰
That's probably not too bad. I'm using Michelin Road 6 GT's on both bikes. Fantastic grip on dry and wet plus good longevity.

Yes, similar prices here.  Still deciding on the Avon's or the Road 6's for the Geisha Girl. The Road 6's on the Bavarian Mistress are behaving very well. Rear needs another 2psi.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

It took me a while to try the S23's.

First pair I went to buy there were no stock of 190/55's in 23's, but stock in S22's.

Another time store had a bulk buy of 22's and the price was much better than the 23's.

Last time I used a different store. They didn't stock either and there wasn't a significant price difference, so they got me 23's in in a 55 rear.

I do prefer S23's but I'm still happy to use 22's too.

I was getting about 6,000K's / 3,750 miles out of a 22 rear and liked to change the fronts at the same time. I'd be real happy if the 23's beat that.

H2 SX SE was a strange one.  I normally wear the centres out of rears first, flatten the profile, but a matched pair of 22's wore the shoulders off the front before the centre on the rear. Not something I normally get. Bike did encourage some misbehaviour and tires felt planted when everything touched down. Busa hs better clearance but I never feel I'm leaning as far over.

Hooli, I'd be annoyed with the scratch, I had similar way back. Go to a paint shop, they'll match colour, little bottle of touch up paint, that's what I did. Mine had a brush inside the lid.

Yeah I'll probably end up doing that, especially on this bike.
