Age old problem for me,had a thread on it here a few yrs back. I tried every exercise, stretch, spray, magnesium, acupuncture, massage,Nothing worked.  My only answer until recently was standing on pegs until it settled.I looked at lots fwd control bikes, none i liked except Rocket, expensive. It got worse, hard to even walk 10 minutes. Never liked chiropractors but one got highly recod. Massage/ chiro combined, more money wasted i thought. He talked me thru his actions, gave a simple body stretch exercise. Well today, miracle time, my first ride maybe 5 yrs without a touch of cramp. Cant express how much better, a whole new world😂Im hoping this is permanent not just a one off. 14 is re anchored in my shed👍

Barbastro, not sure what to explain??

Totally agree. I struggled with a bad back historically, the worst one lasted 18 months & I had to drive a manual car for the 18 months using one leg only, I mastered clutch-less gear changes to perfection & still use that method today when in a manual. I had tried physio & massages but no good, got recommended a Chiropractor, walked in literally doubled over unable to straighten my back, walked out cautiously standing upright, it was painful and some of the cracking sounds were worrying at first but after a couple of visits I was back to full movement. The cause of my bad back at that point (although previously pulled and fixed, through manual work so was already weakened possibly) I put down to driving a Vauxhall car, it started shortly after buying the car, later swapped to a Ford and no other problems. Get the occasional twinge now if I do something silly or lift something I shouldn't but settles down after a day

Also, for 12/18 months lately I have had pains in my right knee, going up stairs and getting up from sitting down mainly, freed up once I was going, had physio prescribed by the Doctor, wouldn't even send me for a scan/xray until I had done that, it helped a bit but not a big difference although it was manageable & started my morning 5 mile walks again & was contemplating the Chiropractoe route again, then I went on hols to Lanzarote & couldn't drink their local beer in fact it put me off drinking beer altogether, while I wasn't a big regular drinker would have a few tins on a Friday and Saturday evening, haven't had a beer for 5 weeks & now almost totally pain free & inflammation in the knee has reduced noticeably, also the brain fog I have experienced since Covid has also improved, no other lifestyle changes so have come to the conclusion that me and alcohol don't agree with each other so have gone our separate ways (for the time being)

That hip cramp sure is a bugger. I suffer from time to time, so it's good to hear you've got some relief.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Hooli

That's good news Grog, it's a bugger when you body gangs up on you.
