Hello to everyone,

Have anyone bought recently new flywheel for GSX1400. Just bought new one, it does not fit in place with starter gear. Goes 1mm deeper than bikes original and then starter gear stucks in block. New one is original Suzuki part 31402-42F00. Notified Suzuki dealer about it and now have to wait answer what we do about it. Like to know have anybody come across that kind of problem. Is it just my luck to get monday version or have they made punch off them. Whole charging issue been pain in ass and now this happens when been hoping that new flywheel makes problem go away.

Greetings

New flywheel/magneto is correct by the part number, (suzuki dealer check by the VIN number) there been wrong machinery for the crankshaft in magneto. It goes too deep on crankshaft, jamming the starter gear behind magneto against engine block. Delivered VIN number, engine serial number and lot of pictures and measurements to dealer who passed them to suzuki so they can investigate the problem. Hopefully solution comes fast and get bike running again (with charging)

Mikko, that really sucks. Hope they sort it quickly. Have you actually measured old v new. What happened to old one? New wouldve been expensive.

Measuret both, new and old. Also when putting magneto with out starter gear on crankshaft, measured from bolt hole to crankshaft and magneto bolt level, crankshaft is 1mm deeper on shaft than old. Yes, flywheel/magneto was new suzuki genuine part. And it was not cheap  Have to say that AJ bike from Finland, the dealer who is handling thing is awesome.
Bike have charging issue and magneto is now last part that effects. Propably heat destroyed magnets little bit and now when heating charging stop. Been wrote to different chain for charging problem better
