270° twins to make then think they are V twins An old trick and will work if done roght but suzuki need to make a proper 4 cylinder retro bike on my opinion anyway (just like kawasaki have with thier new z900)
only a slightly modified gsx1400
oh and a standard one too

The new 800 isn't exactly amazing, but very few Euro-5+ bikes are. However... folk are starting to find they have plenty hidden. Bikes like the same family 8S are getting pipes, deresticton, better mapping etc, and even replacement air box's, and are getting great results.

Like other bikes, manufacturers cant sell the bikes you or they want to, but Suzuki are still building bikes with potential to be unlocked.

Interesting, but I don't think the word "retro" would have come to my mind.

To me it's just as much like a 2010 streetfighter as anything from the 1980's

If you want the 1980 look, the Kawasaki Z650 / Z900 still looks like the one to go for.

I sort of agree, however not having twin shocks ruins any sense of nostalgia for me 🫣

Also used on off-road stuff as the uneven firing pattern (like a V-twin) apparently improves traction as it gives a pause in the power delivery for the tyre to grip again. Also the theory on the big bang R1 as far as I know.
