If it says '404 site not found' or something similar I'd suspect it's a DNS issue with your providers.

Yeah something similar .. takes a couple of minutes of nothing and then site not found , I'm on 4G now and obviously working but at times this doesn't even work.

I'll give the Internet provider a call

I had that for ages on 4G for a website I own, the hosting company refused to help & pretended the DNS was correct even though it obviously wasn't replicating properly. It's fixed now, several years later although they refuse to admit they did anything to solve it.

MickyJB

Example  .. I got an email alert Hooli replied .. I was on WiFi .. I was able to read the reply but to answer it I had to turn off wifi and use 4G .,

End of the World problem 😂😂

Mick, your wifi works fine all other sites? Not a firewall or anti virus tool blocking it? What happens if you just search 1400 site then try to log in?

Hooli

That screenshot looks more like routing or FW to me, if it was DNS it wouldn't have got far enough to wait for it to respond. I'd blame the ISP as a first guess.

@MickyJB

The error message you're encountering, "site can't be reached took too long to respond" with the error code ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT, typically indicates a problem connecting to a specific website or server. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

Check your internet connection: Ensure that your Wi-Fi is working properly and that you have a stable internet connection. Try accessing other websites to see if the issue is specific to a particular site or if you're unable to access any website.

Clear DNS cache: The DNS cache stores information about previously visited websites. Clearing it can sometimes resolve connection issues. Here's how to do it:
Open the Command Prompt on your computer (search for "cmd" in the Start menu).
Type the following command and press Enter: ipconfig /flushdns
Wait for the process to complete and then try accessing the website again.

Disable VPN or proxy: If you're using a VPN (Virtual Private Network) or a proxy server, try disabling it temporarily to see if it's causing the connection timeout issue. Some VPNs or proxies may restrict access to certain websites or introduce connectivity problems.

Temporarily disable firewall or antivirus: Your firewall or antivirus software could be blocking the connection to the website. Try disabling them temporarily and see if you can access the site. If the site loads successfully, you may need to adjust the settings of your firewall or antivirus to allow access.

Restart your networking equipment: Power off your modem/router and wait for about 30 seconds. Then, turn it back on and let it fully restart. This process can help resolve any temporary network glitches.

Try a different browser: If you're unable to access the site using Chrome, try using an alternative browser like Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge to see if the issue is browser-specific.

If none of these steps resolve the problem, it's possible that the issue lies with the website itself or with your internet service provider (ISP). In such cases, contacting your ISP or reaching out to the website's support team may provide further assistance.

Thanks, it must be a iPhone issue, I have logged in ok with my iPad using the same ISP provider and wifi and here I am.

Tried numerous times with my iPhone connected to wifi and also 4g with no success.

I have altered some security settings on the iPhone but they take a hour to process, weird though because in the past I've had no issues logging in at all.

A search would find the site, but same problem every way I've tried, I've now accessed with my iPad straight up ... seems a glitch with the iPhone itself. The iPad works off the same ISP wifi ... phone won't even log in on 4G 😩

As in Chuck it against a Wall ?  :rofl2:

I'm not wanting to delete the stuff on my phone  :whatever:

At least I know I can check in on the iPad so it's not such a big deal as not being able to check out the site anywhere.

Nothing gets deleted, i do mine quite often. Google will show you. Press vol up, vol down then hold side button until apple logo appears👍Earlier phones diff but still easy.

MickyJB

Well whatever I did to the phone security settings seems to have worked, I've been able to check in and open up pages etc etc and all whilst on WIFI

Fingers crossed no more issues

Thanks for advise etc.

Thought the magic had happened but last night and this morning it wouldn't log on anyway .. I did try my daughter's phone and it looked like it would work, got as far as username password and couldn't remember the password ... phoned my ISP and expect to hear from them later today. But I've tried to connect on again and worked on 4G but not Wifi .... ???  ???  :confused1:
