I'm going there later this year  :onya:

Back to you Seth!

You will be in the middle of Oz Barmy, so only up the road. Come for a ride to Sydney on the east coast, only a 2850km ride away.

KiwiCol

Is that how far it is from Sydney to Ayres Rock?

Yep.

@VladTepes

Bloody hell, that's 9 or 10 tanks of gas just to get there!!!  You'd be wanting an H2R then!

Our whole thing is only about 1600k long & 2850 is only half of it!

Do they have lots of gas stations along the main roads? Like how far would you need to go between fills?
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

Never ridden out there mate - couldn't tell you.

Yep on the size thing...  http://gsx1400owners.org/forum_test/index.php?topic=871.0

Barmy you should inbox me, have a beer - I'm in Alice. I've done the Alice to Syd ride a number of times, plenty of fuel along the way. Did it on a gsxr600 a few times, got close to empty. Was a bit more of an issue when the open speed limits were in play.. The 14 is fine. From here down to Port Augusta is cruising in a straight line, big open country for a day or two depending on your focus and appetite for eating miles (1200 odd kays). Can get bloody windy too, I once wore the tyres off one side from leaning to the right for a whole day to compensate. A throttle lock thing is handy. Gets good heading east from there with the flinders ranges.

VladTepes

OPK who has another where's this challenge to post?  can be anything doesn't need to have been on a 1400 trip or anything.
