Nope the remains of that are ion Turgoviste, Romania.

slaines castle is what bram stoker used for the british castle in the story as he had a holiday home on the south side of the bay
the castle was changed in the final draft to whitby as a Russian schooner ran a ground just as he was finishing the book.

not in the 30 years I've lived near there
the old peterhead prison does now
and many years ago the outdoor swimming pool next to macduff used to have a music festival.

the prison closed a few years ago
its now a museum and used for concerts/film locations .
a new prison hmp grampian was build next door (overlooking asco's base) and that also replaced aberdeen prison  their building houses and flats on that site .
