Hooli

A posh version of how I put a trolley jack under one of the centre stand mounts.

Thats pretty clever Andre👍very impressed. Ill remember if i ever get that Cyclone exhaust.

Grog, that's a screenshot from YT. The guy just posted the episode 101 on this bike. Was the 1k inspection after complete re-design/rebuild incl. engine. The bike was a total desaster attempt to make a cafe racer. Many a bike he has brought back to a decent life.

If I were to leave the main stand off, then my solution would be more "posh" than his. That's why I wrote "An inspiration for a solution." Thought this might be helpful for some.

I'll take stand off at some point to deal with a design weakpoint. Then it comes right back on!

I've had Yoshimura headers fitted on my bike from day 1.
So never required centre stand removal. When I put lifter kit under shocks the centre stand only just touched the floor so I picked up a two by four long enough to fit just past the feet and it lifts the rear wheel up enough.

And if the problem occurs on the road?......let's put the hydraulics under the seat   :notworthy:

Not having a proper functioning mainstand would be annoying for me even at the petrol station as I insist on filling the tank up to the max. However, filling on the side stand would save a couple €  ???

KiwiCol

Same here Andre, I always brim it & record the fuel usage for the distance covered.

I just fill up sat on the bike, then I can shake it too to get a bit more in as I've never bothered to drill or bash that vent hole in the side of the filler neck.

not allowed to do that here, they refuse to switch the pump on if they see you sat on your bike trying to fill it up.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Never seen a sign, didnt know you couldnt but why would you want to.

Andre

No signs here. Can't recall seeing someone do it. My guess is that they are afraid that you leave without paying. Why Hooli does it? Room for speculation. Superglued his pants to the seat so he doesn't fall off. Too stiff to get off. It's his sofa and he is watching a video on his big screen tablet. :stir:  :whistling:  :happy1:

Any other ideas?
