But are you really surprised @hard road ? YouTube is getting to be quite a source of "How to" info these days as, as far as I know, there is little, if any, policing of clips uploaded. As demonstrated in this instance.
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

Quote from: Will14 on Wednesday, 23 August  2023, 05:50 AMI have the same system on mine, got fed up of it self arming and the alarm triggering as it was so sensitive, found this information on the internet quite easily - gave it a go and it seems to have done the trick some two years on and no issues

Thanks for that Will - I guess the question is - if bypassed, then there is no reason to have the unit on the bike. Not knowing much about these system connections to the bike, I am fearful that once I start removing stuff it will cause 'other' issues.

its easy to remove if you have fitted one, ive removed a few and fitted a lot more. you have to be a registered fitter though, you can't buy one over the counter. all the wires from the alarm are black but most of them can just be cut, but not all of them. you will need to reconnect some of the bikes harness wires. do you know who fitted it ?

It was fitted by Power Sportbikes of Bradford 25/02/2004 - ref: Dave H.
I need to go somewhere I've not been but won't know until I get there!

would it be easy enough to take it back to them to remove ?

Errrr,  No, it wouldn't.  Stan & his bike are now in Canada!
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

The last alarm I removed was a datatool. Took about an hour as I'd never done one before. All removed neatly and the loom rejoined etc as needed.

That one had lost the internal battery and wouldn't disarm.
