GSX, i do like the look of TCX Pulse boots. Not a fan of big bulky lace ups.

Mine have laces & full side zips, set & forget. Waterproof membrane over the ankles. You'd only get wet if water got in where your leg fits in.

Factory in Yorkshire makes all the bike boots, other factory makes all the military boots as they need thousands of pairs of them Yorkshire factory not up to the production numbers.

Decided im over big heavy bike boots, worn them all my life. This time going lighter, no water proof, not caring, have over boots. Big change for me. Reckon ill like them. Current ones are work certified, ill just wear them out at work. https://shop.sunstatemotorcycles.com.au/tcx-pulse-black.html?gclid=Cj0KCQjwnMWkBhDLARIsAHBOftrMfjStazPafgLAC-rJxGbsgRsJKuOJI8EnZla46tJtdz6_j_Q3qx0aAqawEALw_wcB Made in Italy, owned by Dainese, should be quality.

Whatever you wear as long as its good sturdy boots is fine, not like the bloke I followed yesterday with slip on plimmies, shorts, T-shirt and no gloves riding a Rocket Three.

Plimmies = Plimpsols = Canvas sneakers (cheap arse smelly things . . .)

I really need a new pair!

Mine are cheap RST's and worn out but they are so nice to wear.

I'm not the sportiest rider but I do prefer proper sports style boots.  Definitely no heel blocks, no laces, no chunky tread etc. just a slim boot with a pretty flat smooth sole. So nice for up and down shifts without a big chunky boot, so nice to move around on the pegs without a heel.

These were bought as an impulse buy long ago but have been so nice to use and are still really comfy even if at the end of their life.  My next pair will be a very similar style.

I jump on the bike in my steel toecap builders boots to move them or just try them up and down the driveway and it's like trying to type in boxing gloves!  I find thick soles or chunky heels awful.

That's how I felt to start with wearing my Altbergs, didn't take too long to get used to it & I find them easy to ride in now.

You want boots you can't work out how people ride wearing them, a mate rides her 14 in 2" soled NuRocks. Means she can reach the floor on it...

I like 2-way quick shifters. Moving the foot above and below and having a "feel" for the lever makes a big difference. 20 years in builders boots and huge amount of work commuting I just never felt the same.  Less so if I'm doing long hauls or just cruising around but it makes a big difference in some circumstances.

Each to their own. Just what works for me.
