I'm not getting this, and i usually would .. In the preview pane i don't get an ad a picture icon. I have youtube, etc.

How to add pic's now:
Click the wide grey button below the text area (says drag n drop or use the button) Click on that.
This will take you to where your pic's are, click on the desired pic (pic's) & you'll see them below.

There's no wide grey button on my screen.

Aka Chris Leam on the original Org.

Apparently it depends on what browser you're using.  Try the same thing from a laptop or pc.

Last post on this, see below as to the "Grey Bar" mentioned

Two things I cant find ... the wide grey button and the text area. I can find an 'insert an image' button next to the 'you tube' one but that only asks for an https://. WTF is that? I think my photo's are too big anyway so reducing the sizes will be a mystery too.
Posting photo's used to be easy but this new system is too complicated for someone who isn't computer literate hence my infrequent posts.
If you look like your passport photo then you're too sick to travel.

Here ya go.  Depends also on what browser you're using as to what you can see - apparently.

Below is the Grey button to push - red arrow thing pointing.
pic1.JPG

This one shows you what to click to put your pic in the text of your post. (if you want it there, else just leave it small & folk can open it to see it if they want to.
pic2.JPG

Place your cursor somewhere in the text where you want your pic & Click on Insert
pic3.JPG

After you have done this, this is what it will look like.
pic4.JPG

You can then carry on & add more pic's (as I've done here) as long as you don't go over 2mb per post. Hint, most modern cell phone cameras take 5-20mb pic's, so you will need to reduce the size of them.

This is done here, click on the 3 dots (pointed to) then click on "Resize"
pic5.JPG

Once you click on Resize, the below screen pops open, you then just drag the slide bar until the pic is small enough for posting. You'll have to save the resized pic to be able to retrieve it, so perhaps create a new folder called "Resized Pics" so you know where they are when you want them.

Thank you Col ... problem solved.

That drag & drop option doesn't show when replying with a quote or quick reply but only when using the reply button.

I'll do a test.DSCN1673.JPG

Hooli

If you click 'preview' under the quick reply box you also get to the full reply screen to be able to add pics.

In case anyone finds that easier.

Kiwifruit

That's a lovely bike, my favorite colour scheme.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Dwain Dibley

That's useful to know Hooli, as I have on numerous occasions cut and pasted a message from quick reply so I can add pics.

Nice one Mate.
