Yes, that seems to be how some bikes are, so you stop at an accident to help someone and leave your hazards on and some knobnosher steals your bike.  My old BMW had them but you could turn the key and take it out while the hazards did their job, don't know if my current one does it, I will test it out.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

mines a Dec 02 built K3 model, doesn't have hazard lights, perhaps just a thing for the UK Market then? I do have the park light connector in the headlight bowl, it's just zip tied to the rest of the loom.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

I think it was an EU rule about lights always on

Hazard lights do work with the key out. I tried it and found that in park/position light , you take the key out, switch on your hazards and they will come on. I was thinking about it and thought Suzuki wouldn't have made a blunder like you have to have your ignition on to operate hazards. Every days a school day.

Tally, thought thats how they prob work. My key wont turn to that park position, job for another day.

On my K7, if you put the hazards on whilst the engine was still running and then switched the engine off and took the key out the hazards would keep going. You didn't need to have the key in the parking light position.

Same is true of my ex Triumph and now my BMW, they work exactly the same as above.
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

grog

Thanks Barmy, will try that when i get home.

Same as my HD and you have to turn the ignition back on to turn them off if you've done that too.
As I found out one day when I hit them rather than the off switch they are alongside.

Works but still a dumb idea. If your motor dies, no hazards. Should be like every car, just turn on whenever. No biggie but just stupid.

Until some dickhead finds it funny to turn them on when you're parked & you come back to a flat battery. Can't do that to a car, normally.
