First i will say thankyou to V_I_C_I for getting me pic's from his bike  :).

If you want to mount a PC-V on our bike you will soon notice that they dont made one for the GSX1400.

But there are a solution you can use one for the GSF 1250 Bandit Part nr: 20-010 or GSX 1250 partnr: 20-021 with some easy tweeks (only

difference is that the GSX 1250 f has a termination plug for the lambda that you dont use anyway) .

Here some places you can fit the PC-V.

As the normal PC3 connects to the main plug from the wiring of the injector housing ,but this time you dont use that plug instead you connect

all the connectors to each parts in the system that is related to the PC-V system. So you connect a plug to each injector and connect the old

connector to the female connector that was mounted to the injector  (Blue wire for cyl. 1, Green cyl 2, yellow cyl 3 and  orange cyl 4.

After that you connect the gray wire to the pink/black wire from the tps sensor (Trottle position sensor) you can find out the wire on the throttle housing or do as V_I_C_I don close to the ECU (see pic).

And last the ground wire to the negative battery connector A NOTE if you experience problem with the throttle position signal jumping around and not being stable you can move the ground from the battery and solder it to a ground wire close to the ECU (that solved my problem) se pic here.

This pics is for the K5-K8 if you have a K1-K4 look for the right colours think they are the same but the early ECU only have one big connector.

Then you go to Connect your PC-V to a computer/laptop , if you dont got the software together with the PC-V you can get it from Powercommanders homepage   http://www.powercommander.com/powercommander/downloads/powercommander_downloads.aspx?ProdType=Power%20Commander%20V .

then connect your computer with USB cable to the PC-V and establish communication .

If you done all this next step is to get a map in your PC-V, if you have a map done to PC3 usb you can convert it to PC-V      Just go in under File

in menu and choose  Import PC3USB MAP .

Then you got a view like this.

Next step if you want is to fit a Broadband lambda (Powercommander Autotune partnr AT-200)

Its quite a easy step except that you have to weld a bung to your exhaustpipe to  mount it in.

Heres some example where to put it just dont mount it to low on the pipe due to condensation in the system I must be mounted 10 o clock to 2 o clock.

If you wonder why I got two lambda bungs I use to have a separate logging system on before I got the PC-V ;).

When you done that you need to connect the Autotune lambda to your PC-V with a buscable that came with the Autotune and a

terminatorplugg that you put at the free connector on the PC-V (important).

Put in the map you have done in advance and if you got the autotune enable it in the program and  put in the AFR value  in the map to.

You can also limit how mutch the lambda can change the value

Then fire up the bike and se that you are getting values in the right side  columm. If all is ok so far go for a spin and when you get home again

connect the computer and retrieve the values from the map that the autotune have made of suggestions to add or widraw if it seems ok ad

then make changes to your map and out for a spin again and so on.

But if you dont have a map to start with do a dynosetup first .
The maps from my bike just dont use them on a fairly standard 1400 or it will surely overfuel due to my setup (1550 big bore and some more ;) ).

I wil put up pic's here of V_I_C_I home made holder just wait a cople of hours :).

Cheers Maveric

Does anyone know leanest AFR that is still safe for our bikes (withnout mods on valves)?

according to dyno run, my leanest was ~15, but that was on 8k+ revs. So I cant say, is it safe or not, because you do not run often on 8k+ revs :)
but this I know for sure - with 15 AFR you loose power.

This dyno run was done after I was using autotune to create my own fuel map. To be honest, I do not remember, what I was using for target map, but I will assume 12,9 on almost all revs and throttle positions (except 0% and 2%)

@V_i_c_i , can you please post more pictures of your bracket? I remember you had them on old org...
I'm interested of lower mount point :confused1:

I finally start to make mine, using your idea as a model. But I do not have possibilities to weld aluminium for cheap or free, so I have to invent my own way   :onya:

I can send you drawings for burning parts for brackets. Send me mail to PM. You can made it from steel or inox too. I used dural because of weight.
But I want do some modification on this bracket. I want enable USB cable conntected without take off the PC V from bracket.

I have dwg's already - you send me them in November :) thank you.
Photos of lower mounting point will nice to see  :onya:

Maybe this will be more usefull for you...

And about AFR.

For our bikes is ideal AFR 12.8-13.4 (by AlfaDave from old forum - I found old note in my phone).
