Don't you have to charge those "fill before use" ones?  Only done a couple of those, but thought it was best to slow charge them overnight?

Correct Blokes. Fill acid, let it sit, preferably overnight, soaks the plates. Then charge it. If not charged, batt will only be working at lesser level, will seem ok but not at 100% Just how it is.

All batteries in the UK have to be pre-filled before sale (unless you have a license).  This came about because of some arseholes started taking battery acid to parties and squirting it on people.  You can't make this stuff up.

I heard a while ago assholes used to steal truck batteries to get the acid out of them, they use it to make P or meth or something like that.

OK didn't think of that - I have a battery / trickle charger i assume that will do the job?
